Easy One-Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta

Ingredients

  • 200g (7 oz) spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (480ml) milk (or half milk + half cream for richness)
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley, chili flakes, or sautéed mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Garlic
    In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown).
  2. Add Pasta and Milk
    Add the pasta and pour in the milk. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Add Cheese and Seasoning
    Once the pasta is al dente and most of the milk is absorbed, stir in the Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve
    Garnish with parsley or chili flakes. Serve immediately while warm and creamy.

Tips

  • For extra protein, add cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu at the end.
  • You can replace milk with oat milk or almond milk for a dairy-free version (skip cheese or use vegan cheese).
