Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 500g (1 lb) chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and lightly grease it.
  2. Set Up Breading Stations
    • In the first bowl: add flour, salt, and pepper.
    • In the second bowl: beat the eggs.
    • In the third bowl: mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Bread the Chicken
    Dredge each chicken strip in the flour, dip into the egg, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake
    Spray the tops of the tenders with olive oil spray. Bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve
    Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard, ketchup, or ranch.

Tips

  • For extra crispiness, broil the tenders for the last 2 minutes.
  • You can marinate the chicken in buttermilk for 1 hour beforehand for added tenderness.
